Myhre's has given diners the full meat-shop experience since it began slicing and serving Montreal smoked meat in 2002. Since opening it's doors as the Palace of Eats, the deli has seen many changes. From a name change (or two), to the introduction of now crowd-favourite menu items (we recommend the Jump-Off Chicken), Myhre's is constantly evolving to cater to customer desires. One thing that hasn't changed? Our dedication to serving authentic, Montreal smoked meat and poutine that leaves even the most skeptical Montrealer's asking for seconds.

 

A long-time patron of Montreal's famous smoked meat eateries, proprietor Brad Myhre has created a place where Calgarians can enjoy an authentic deli lunch — without the four-hour flight.

 

The deli's gleaming wooden walls and booths were inspired by Wilensky's, a Montreal landmark immortalized in Mordecai Richler's novel, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz. The mahogany paneling was salvaged from The Palace of Eats, a vintage lunch counter that served Calgarians on Stephen Avenue from 1918 – 1964.
